I believe that "we do not see things as they are, we see them as we are" (Anais Nin). In other words, we lack objectivity. The intersection of who we are, shaped in part by our prior experiences, determines how we interact with the present and how we will react to our futureexperiences. By becoming aware of our beliefs and interpretations, as well as their influence on our decisions, we can then identify, accept, and change those that may impede our goals.

My goal is to help you create the life you want by letting go of unhelpful beliefs and to feel empowered in your life choices. Use your increased self-awareness to gain a new perspective on life, and then translate that into behavioral change. Pain is inevitable in life, but you can learn the tools you need in order to not suffer!

I have an eclectic style: using psychodynamic, narrative, choice, and Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral therapies, as the situation requires. My areas of specialty include trauma, addiction and co-occurring disorders, depression, and anxiety.

Every person is unique and working together we can find the most effective tools for you.
